Shipping Policies

Shipments to the Contiguous 48 US States

We understand that when you make an order, you want your gear as quickly as possible and we will do our best to make that happen! Most of the items we sell will ship quickly and be at your door fast. Additionally, we work closely with our vendors in order to have the product shipped directly to you from their warehouse if we do not already have it in stock or if their warehouse can get it to you faster. Please read the details below, as there are some exceptions where products might take a little bit longer to get to your door. Always feel free to drop us a line if you have a concern.

Most products will be marked "In Stock - Ships within 24-48 Hours." These products will ship same or next day from our warehouse or one of our vendors' distribution centers.

While we will do our best to ship from the distribution center closest to you, naturally not all items will always be in stock in every location! In these cases we will typically split the order and ship each package out to you individually. In some cases we may need to consolidate the items in one location to ship out as one package.

For Customers needing delivery by a certain date, please choose the corresponding expedited shipping option. Customers may also leave comments upon check out to notify our shipping department of any other shipping requirement (i,e, Signature required, specific ship dates, delivery comments/notes, etc.). If you need an item sooner rather than later, give us a call and we will discuss possible options.

A shipping confirmation email (with tracking numbers) will typically be sent within 24 hours of an item shipping. For example, if you place an order Monday night and it ships out Tuesday morning, you will receive your tracking information either Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning.

Most orders placed before 3:00 p.m. your local time will be processed same day. Orders placed via our free ground shipping cannot be delivered to a PO Box; they will be required to ship out via USPS for a flat rate. Items shipping out via USPS may require up to five days of additional processing time.

Typically orders will be shipped UPS, FedEx or USPS if this is a problem, please contact us prior to placing your order.

Shipping Method Explanation
Business days are Monday-Friday; Saturday and Sunday are not included in shipping days.
• Delivery typically in one to five business days.
• Delivery by the end of the third business day after an order has shipped. For example, if an order is placed Tuesday night and is processed/shipped on Wednesday, it would arrive on Monday of the following week.   Call for Three Day Shipping.
• Delivery by the end of the second business day after an order has shipped. For example, if an order is shipped out on Monday, it will arrive on Wednesday. If the order is placed Monday night and ships out on Tuesday, it will arrive on Thursday. Call for Second Day Shipping.
• Delivery the next business day after an order has shipped. An order that ships out on Thursday with Next-Day delivery would be delivered on Friday. An order shipping out on Friday with Next-Day delivery would arrive on Monday.  Call for Next Day Shipping

Voss Helmets FREE 2-Day Shipping
Orders must be over $100 and placed before 9:00 am PST, otherwise the order will ship the following business day and still receive 2-day shipping.  2-Day shipping does not include weekends, working business days only.

Orders shipping to an APO/FPO address qualify for our Free Shipping promotion. APO/FPO orders will be shipped via USPS Priority Military Mail, please allow an additional 1-5 business days to process your order.

Alaska / Hawaii
Orders shipping to Alaska or Hawaii please allow an additional 1-5 business days to process your order. If your order is urgent, feel free to contact us and we can try to accommodate.
Orders shipped to Alaska / Hawaii do not qualify for our free ground shipping option.

International Orders
Orders shipping to an International destination may require additional time, please allow an additional 1-5 business days to process your order. See full details on our International Shipping Policy Page

Hazardous Items
Items designated as hazardous (such as paints and chemicals) may only be shipped via ground shipping to the contiguous 48 US states. These items are subject to a $1 shipping surcharge but we will notify you if there is an additional charge.

Oversize Items
Oversize items are currently only being shipped via Ground to the contiguous 48 US states. A $10 per item fee will be charged, you will be notified if there is an additional charge; again no surprises!

Delivery Policy
Typically packages will be left at your door and do not require a signature. Sometimes we will ship an item vendor direct and those vendors may require a signature on their shipments. If you absolutely need one way or the other, please contact Customer Service before placing your order.

Air Freight Terms and Conditions
The Guaranteed Service remedy set forth in the below paragraph is not provided for shipments that are delayed due in whole or in part to:
Acts of God, weather conditions, environmental or dangerous goods incidents, perils of the air, public enemies, public authorities acting with actual or apparent authority, application of security regulations imposed by a government or otherwise applicable to the shipment, acts or omissions of customs officials, authority of law, quarantine, riots, strikes, work stoppages or slowdowns, or other labor disputes or disturbances, civil commotions or hazards incident to a state of war, local or national disruptions in ground or air transportation networks or systems due to events beyond UPS’s control, disruption or failure of communication and information systems, disruption or failure of utilities, or any circumstances beyond UPS’s control.

Backorders tries its best to now have backorders, however items in which a back order or pre-order is available will be clearly identified. In the case an item is back-ordered, we will do our best to notify our customers as quickly as possible.

Damaged Goods
If an item arrives visibly damaged, please contact HelmetMan Customer Service immediately. Claims are handled through the carrier (typically UPS, FedEx or USPS), but HelmetMan will assist the customer with these claims to the best of its ability.
